Heritage Weekend

Let the Celebrations Begin Welcome to the 2019 Celebrations of the development of the Oamaru District during the Victorian Era. We have been left the legacy of a unique collection of period architecture that grew from the wealth of a new land and as a community we gather to salute our forebears and their industry.

For 2019 we will be focusing on the Wheel in Victorian Life from industry and transportation to sports and entertainment. We have put together a mixture of old favourite events and some exciting new ones. Welcome to all newcomers and welcome back to those of you who now make the journey to Oamaru for our events each year. We hope you enjoy the events on offer and look forward to a wonderful few days of entertainment with our community.

Many Thanks to all who have helped get together these events, the passion for period recreation and the Oamaru Community ensures this unique festival is something to be truly proud of. This a wonderful reason to gather together.
