Thermal Oak was a great place to stay in Rotorua.  The room was spacious and clean.  The kitchenette was a nice size and the location was central to everywhere we wanted to go.  The front desk staff was very friendly and helpful.  We had a wonderful stay!

Nos encantó nuestra estadía en Thermal Oak Hotel, donde pasamos dos noches. El check-in y check-out fueron muy fáciles, y las habitaciones eran amplias y bien equipadas, con todo lo necesario para una estadía cómoda. El hotel cuenta con estacionamiento y una zona de lavandería, lo cual es muy práctico. Lo único a mejorar sería la conexión de wifi, que no funcionaba del todo bien. Splendid place to stay. Nice walk to town, Woolworths , or Whakarewarewa Māori village. We stayed 5 nights. Nice bedding and towels. Nicely updated bathroom. Very clean. Good kitchen, with everything we required. Friendly, helpful staff, all of them. Spacious rooms. The only 2 little things that were slightly annoying; inconsistent water temperature in the shower, and the sofa in room 7 was so uncomfortable, we couldn’t sit on it. We ended up sitting on the hard dining chairs, for our 5 night stay. Another bonus, which was a nice surprise, they have on site guest laundry, for a small fee. Very convenient. Did someone say Motel? It’s More like a hotel, rooms were clean thoroughly, every room has 2 power stoves, with all the pots, pans, knives and all the other amenities you need to cook with. Comes with a 4 seater dining table to enjoy your food on. Bed was comfortable, with clean towels, clean face cloths, clean bedding and sheets, I’m very picky, but I couldn’t fault this place at all. Price was around $220, and well worth every penny. I’ve stayed in a penthouse suite in Auckland that cost me $380 a night and it doesn’t compare to Thermal Oak Motel. Rooms are spotlessly clean with modern kitchenette and bathroom facilities. Everything you would need. Check in was a breeze and I like the modern security door system. Bathroom toiletries were lovely manuka honey. Even managed to watch F1 on the TV!

This accommodation exceeded our expectations. It was exceptionally clean and comfortable. We had a 2 bedroom suite which  suited our family of 2 adults and 2 teens perfectly. As it was on the back of the property, it was nice and quiet. It was in a great location; central to everything we needed. The laundry facilities (paid) were a great bonus.

Impressed by this motel. Don’t usually stay in motels and was a bit nervous about what to expect, esp after what I had read online about Fenton Street. Luckily, my fears were unfounded and we had a very comfortable 2 night stay at Thermal Oak. The man at check in was helpful and all went smoothly and most importantly the room was impressively clean. Parking can get a bit narrow and if you stay out late for dinner you risk having to park by the roadside but still there’s plenty of spots on street. Nice smelling Manuka honey toiletries but the shampoo was rather drying and no conditioner was provided so I was glad I brought some with me. WiFi fast and easy to connect to. We didn’t hear our neighbours and the hotel was pretty much fully occupied judging from the car park so the noise insulation appeared ok. Decent sized fridge, clean kitchen utensils and plates, very good water pressure in the shower. Not much more I can ask for. Thanks for a comfortable stay.
